What to check when you choose a web design company

• A written scope next to the price

  Pages, features, languages and who writes the content, on paper. A price without a scope is a guess, and the gap is paid later.

• Work you can open

  Ask for live sites, not screenshots. Open them on your phone and check how fast they load and how easy it is to get in touch.

• Who you will talk to

  Know who answers for the result and who you call after launch. A sales contact who disappears after signing is a warning sign.

• Ownership

  The domain, the hosting account, the site and its content should be in your name. Ask what happens if you leave.

• Being found after launch

  A site nobody finds does not bring work. Check that titles, speed, structured data and AI search visibility are part of the build.

• Support and changes

  Updates, backups and security, and the cost of a change after launch. Get the answers before you sign, not after.

  Cheapest to start and fine for a simple page. You pay with your time, and growing beyond the template gets harder.

• A freelancer

  Flexible and often affordable. Design, build, content and support depend on one person and their availability.

• A web design company

  Design, development, content and support in one team, with a fixed quote and a site you own. Costs more than a freelancer at the start.

   A first project is delivered in 2–3 weeks, reviewed by a founder before launch.

   Stop there, or continue on a monthly plan; the first project is then credited in full.

Questions to ask any web design company

• Is the price fixed, and what exactly does it include?
• Who owns the domain, the hosting and the site?
• Who writes the content and supplies the photos?
• What do updates, backups and security cost after launch?
• How will the site be found on Google and in AI assistants?
